Make It Easier

Adjust reading, pacing and visible working while keeping each clue’s rules and the final task intact.

Start with one clear job

Read the prompt aloud and ask a child to repeat the goal. Cover unrelated pages temporarily and choose a reader, recorder and checker. For a younger group, inspect the earlier Birthday Starship clues and its exact age range before printing.

Reduce the amount to remember

Keep badge labels and results visible. Put the needed records beside the final sheet and read its instructions in small sections. Let children trace, cross out or write intermediate steps instead of holding them in their heads.

  • Read the goal, then the conditions
  • Keep one active clue in the centre
  • Trace routes and mark ruled-out options
  • Write recovered meanings beside signals
  • Keep prerequisites visible
  • Pause and resume without a failure message

Offer help without skipping the final rule

Use the first hint early if the group wants it. If an adult supplies a prerequisite result, place it beside the correct badge and let the children decide how the final page uses it. Choose the next game by its exact recommended range and real previews; age bands are broad browsing collections.
