Share a Mystery with Six Kids
Two teams of three give six children room to read, record and check. Both teams use the same story and can finish at their own pace.
Give each team a complete set
Choose 6 players and 2 teams on the game page. Review the page plan, then print one full clue set and one record set for each team. The host keeps one answer set and one hint set. Invitations and certificates are optional.
- Team 1: all clue pages, blank records and three pencils
- Team 2: a separate set of the same edition and three pencils
- Adult: host answers and hints
- Label every record with its team
- Check the displayed page total before printing
Rotate three useful jobs
The reader reads the goal and rules. The recorder writes working and agreed results. The checker asks which printed evidence supports the answer. Swap jobs after each clue. In Pocket Detective Club, the checker can ask whether a record describes a completed transfer and whether every final location feature has been checked.
Allow different finishing times
Select the right team on the host page before recording a clue or showing its hint. If one team finishes first, ask it to explain why an alternative fails. Keep its final answer quiet until the other team is ready, then read the ending and review one useful deduction together.
